let's talk aboutwhat's broken.Running the whole show yourself? You're one conversation away from getting your hours back.

I'm an engineer by trade, not a career developer, and a little obsessed with business. I co-founded two businesses and I build the AI systems that run them. Tell me what's eating your time or your sales, and I'll tell you straight what's worth fixing and what's just noise.

notes from someone who uses it daily

AI, without the noise.

Most of what's sold as "AI for business" is noise you don't need. A few things genuinely pay for themselves. Here's how I tell the difference.

Noise Nº 1

You need an AI chatbot on your website.

Signal

Most small brands need faster replies in the DMs they already get. Start there, not with a widget nobody opens.

Noise Nº 2

Automate everything with AI agents.

Signal

Automate the one job you repeat every day, usually copying info from one place to another. That's where the hours are.

Noise Nº 3

Buy the tool everyone's posting about.

Signal

My test before paying for anything: will it save an hour a week in the first month? If not, skip it.

Noise Nº 4

AI will replace your team.

Signal

Done right, AI takes the repetitive bits so your people can look after the customers who need a human.

how a conversation goes

No pitch. Three steps. Hours back.

  1. 01

    Tell Millie what's broken

Type it the way you'd say it out loud. Millie asks a couple of questions. No forms, no discovery calls.

  2. 02

    Get an honest first step

Something you can do this week, even if I can't solve the whole thing or you decide not to hire me.

  3. 03

See the fix before you pay

If I can genuinely help, I'll build a first version of the fix before we talk money. Try it, and only buy it if it fits.

DM sales assistant

For Bakeology Studios.

The problem
Cake enquiries piling up in Instagram and Facebook DMs, often late at night, with the same questions every time. Mostly people just asking for the price.
What I built
An assistant that answers in the DMs, asks for serving size, date, flavour and inspo pics, and gives a rough quote to find the high-intent leads. Then it asks for a name and email, qualifies the lead and pings us to confirm the final quote.

Checkout leak audit

For Bakeology Studios.

The problem
Shoppers were getting all the way to checkout, then leaving without paying.
What I built
Traced it to a cart widget, a badly timed popup, two laggy paid apps adding extra steps, and bot checkouts inflating the numbers. Replaced them with custom code built around our products: a cleaner checkout, and about $90 a month saved on apps.

Brownie launch engine

For Bomb Brownie.

The problem
Launching a new brownie gifting brand from zero, with no list and a fixed drop date.
What I built
A quiz, a referral competition and email flows that build the waitlist before the drop, designed to attract people who actually want to buy, not just watch. Nothing is sadder than a huge waitlist and no one buying.

a letter from the ditch

Dear fellow operator,

I'm an engineer by trade, and my love for business and building systems has become a slightly unhealthy obsession. I co-founded a cake studio in Melbourne, I'm co-launching a brownie brand, and I've got a few fun projects I can't wait to share.

Every system on this page started as a problem in my own business: enquiries piling up in the DMs at 11pm, two paid apps doing one simple job and holding us back, a checkout that wasn't converting, and an everyday product that needed to launch with a bang. AI gave me the superpower to turn the systems in my head into real, working ones.

Millie is where I share all of it: a community of business owners building cool things and helping each other with whatever they're stuck on. Tell me what's broken and I'll tell you straight what's hype and what will actually move your business forward. Or just use the chat box above to share what you're working on. Here's to building cool things. xx
